Cape Town · In-person only · Max 14 seats

Practical AI training that actually improves the way you work.

Three hands-on courses for working professionals — the curious individual, the busy team, and the leadership table that needs an AI strategy that holds up. No code. No fluff. Walk in with a question, walk out with answers and expertise.

50% hands-on, in the room. Live with an experienced trainer — not a recorded video. Industry guest speakers. Certificate of completion plus a knowledge check. The room is the point — that's why we don't run remote.

What you'll learn

From "I've heard about AI" to "I use it every day."

Three courses, designed to work standalone or as a journey. Pick where you are — start with the foundation, layer on team-level workflows and agents, then build the leadership layer for AI strategy, governance and OKRs.

How you'll learn

A small room, real exercises, an experienced trainer.

Every Proven Path course follows the same shape. Less talking, more doing. The structure stays steady; the content moves with the tools.

01

Pragmatic by design

Every concept is paired with a real workplace use case. No theory for theory's sake.

02

50% hands-on

Half the day is exercises. You can also use your own work — bring a real problem and the room will help you solve it. Optional, never required.

03

One experienced trainer

You're in the room with the person who designed the course. No teaching assistants. Every question gets answered.

04

Knowledge checks

A short test at the end of each course confirms what stuck. Pass it and you walk away with a Proven Path certificate.

05

Guest speakers

Industry leaders drop in for short, candid sessions on what worked, what didn't, and what they'd do differently.

06

In-person first

The room is the point. Online attendance is allowed but treated as one individual seat — and we keep those very limited.

07

Max 14 seats

Twelve is our hard cap, every course. Past that, the room loses its texture and you stop getting the trainer's full attention.

08

Transparent pricing

One price, no hidden costs, early bird discounts where they make sense. What you see is what you pay.

What past students say

"It changed the way I work — not just the way I think about AI."

I came in expecting to nod through some slides about AI. By 11 in the morning I had built a thing that wrote my weekly status update. By the end of the day it was triggered automatically. Best training day I've had in years.
Thandi M.Operations Manager · Logistics, Cape Town
Geoff doesn't sell anything. He explains, he demonstrates, and then he gets out of your way and watches you build. The room asks better questions because he doesn't pretend to have all the answers.
James de V.Founder · B2B SaaS, Stellenbosch
I sent four people to the AI at Scale course. Three months later, our weekly reporting cycle is two days shorter. The investment paid for itself before the next quarter.
Lerato K.Head of People · Financial Services, Johannesburg
The OKR day was the first time my exec team agreed on what "done" looks like. We left with one Objective, three Key Results, and — finally — the same definition of progress.
Mark P.COO · Healthcare scale-up, Cape Town
Sixteen seats is the right call. I asked questions I would have been too shy to ask in a 50-person room. By coffee on day one I'd already paired up with another founder who was solving the same problem.
Aisha P.Consultant · Independent, Durban
I'm in my fifties. I hadn't touched AI before this. I left at 15:00 with three working agents and the confidence to talk about it in our exec meeting on Wednesday. Worth every cent.
Pieter v.d.M.CFO · Manufacturing, Paarl

Portrait of Geoff Lousse

Geoff Lousse

Founder & Lead Trainer · Proven Path Academy

Geoff has spent two decades in operating roles — building, scaling and turning around teams across South Africa, the UK and the US. He has set OKRs in start-ups of 12 and divisions of 1,200, and seen every variant of how they fall apart. He runs Proven Path Academy out of Cape Town. The format is deliberate: small rooms, real work, no slides about slides.

He built Proven Path Academy because the AI training market is full of theatre and short on practice. His promise is simple: every course is 50% hands-on, every group is capped, and every student leaves with a practical solution they will use the following week.

Surprise guest

Secret guest speaker

Every session gets one industry leader dropping in for a candid 15-minute session. We don't announce them in advance — we want the conversation, not the LinkedIn buzz. Each guest is a working practitioner who has shipped AI or OKRs inside a real organisation, with the scars to prove it.

How guest speakers fit in

A guest joins for the last 15 minutes of the day for a Q&A about real-world implementation. They share what worked, what didn't, and what they'd do differently. No slides, no sales pitch — just a conversation.

  • Real numbers, real mistakes, real lessons
  • Ask any question — Chatham House rules
  • Optional: stay on for a drink at the venue afterwards

FAQs

The five questions we get most often.

Honest, direct answers. The full FAQ page covers another ~20 questions about bookings, format, content, in-house and POPIA.

Are courses in-person or online?

In-person only. The room is the product — small cohorts, real conversations, hands-on exercises. We don't run regular remote sessions. (One or two "exceptional remote" broadcast events per year — announced separately.)

How many seats per cohort?

Maximum 14. Small enough that every question gets answered, big enough that you meet a real peer cohort. Workshop 17, V&A Waterfront, all in.

Can I get a refund?

Bookings are non-refundable, but they're transferable: you can move your seat to a future session (free with 15+ days notice) or send a substitute (free up to 24h before). Full details in our Refund Policy.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. None of the courses require coding. We work in free or licensed AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Notion, NotebookLM) using their visual interfaces.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes — a Proven Path Academy certificate of completion, issued at the end of the session, after a 10-question multiple-choice knowledge check (7/10 to pass).

Do you offer in-house training?

Yes — for 8+ delegates from one organisation, we run the same curriculum at your office or a venue you book. Case study optionally swapped for your real context. Email us for a quote.
